Product introduction:
1, 3-butanediol, referred to as 1,3-BDO, has good hygroscopic, odorless, low toxicity, good water solubility and other characteristics, but also has the reactivity of diol.
Mainly used in the production of plasticizer, unsaturated polyester resin, industrial dehydrating agent, etc.
Can be used as a moisturizing agent in cosmetics, used in makeup lotion, cream, emulsion, gel, toothpaste and other products;
It can also be used as a humidifier and softener for textiles, tobacco and paper, as an antimicrobial agent for cheese or meat.
It is widely use in many fields like the following:
1.1, 3-butanediol has the characteristics of diol reactivity, odorless, low toxicity, good water solubility and so on, can be used in the following main aspects: 1.
Used as raw material of polyester resin and alkyd resin, unsaturated polyester is prepared by mixing 1, 3-butanediol or ethylene glycol. It has good water resistance, softness and impact resistance.
2. The raw material used as plasticizer is a polyester plasticizer made from 1, 3-butanediol and diacid (adipic acid), which has low volatility, migration resistance, soapy water resistance, solvent resistance and oil resistance.
3. As a raw material for polyurethane coatings, Chemicalbook, a saturated polyester used in polyurethane coatings, has good water resistance in uncoated coatings, which is better than that of other dialcohols.
4.As a wetting agent and softener 1, 3-butanediol has excellent moisture retention and low toxicity. It can be used as a wetting and softener for cigarettes, celluloid, vinylon film, paper and fiber when made into ester.
5. Solvents used as fine chemicals can be used in the formulation of lotions, creams and toothpaste, etc.
1, 3-butanediol is also an intermediate in medicine and dyes.
6. Make polycarbamates.
Surfactants, plasticizers, coupling agents, solvents, food additives and spices.
