Hazardous chemical raw materials management methods
1. Transportation management
(1) Before loading, unloading and handling hazardous chemical materials, make preparations in advance, understand the nature of the goods, and check whether the chemical tools for loading, unloading and handling are firm.
(2) Operators should wear corresponding protective equipment according to the hazardous characteristics of different chemical raw materials, and strengthen the work on poisonous and corrosive materials
(3) During operation, hazardous chemical materials should be handled with care, to prevent impact, friction, and vibration, to prevent splashing or rupture of the packaging and outflow of chemical materials to cause harm to people.
(4) When loading and unloading dangerous chemicals, do not drink or smoke.
(5) When loading, unloading and transporting explosives, first-class flammables, and first-class oxidizers, iron-wheel trucks, battery carts and other transportation tools without explosion-proof devices are not allowed.
(6) Before loading, unloading and handling highly corrosive chemical raw materials, check whether the bottom of the box has been corroded to prevent the danger of falling off the bottom.
(7) Two kinds of chemical raw materials with conflicting properties shall not be loaded and unloaded at the same place and transported in the same vehicle.
2. Daily management
(1) Hazard identification: The first step to prevent accidents is to identify hazardous chemical raw materials. The hazard identification of hazardous chemical raw materials is the basis for strengthening the safety management of hazardous chemicals.
(2) Implement the "one book, one sign" system: a book is a safety technical manual, which is a comprehensive document detailing information on the explosion, toxicity, and environmental hazards of hazardous chemical materials.
(3) Waste treatment: The discharge of toxic and hazardous substances into the environment must be strictly controlled. Disposal of discarded hazardous chemical materials shall be carried out in accordance with the Law on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Wastes and relevant national regulations, destroy and dispose of discarded chemical materials that are combustible, explosive, toxic and other dangerous, and shall take necessary safety measures.
(4) Safety education: Safety education is an important part of enterprise safety management. Many chemical accidents occur due to the lack of safety knowledge of the operators, and the non-compliance of safety operating procedures and safety rules and regulations.
(5) Do well in emergency rescue measures: Emergency rescue work is the basic content of the safety management of hazardous chemical raw materials.
Common hazardous chemicals
1. Explosives
Common explosives are potassium chlorate, ammonium nitrate, ammonium dichromate, long-standing sodium and potassium.
2. Flammable gas
Common flammable gases are H2, CO, CH4, liquefied petroleum gas, and water gas.
3. Flammable liquid
Common flammable liquids are ethanol, gasoline, kerosene, and diesel.
4. Flammable solid
Common flammable solids include sulfur, silicon powder, magnesium powder, aluminum powder, zinc powder, and trinitrotoluene.
